Simona Marletta is an Italian fashion designer and creative pattern cutter who lives and works in London.
Her love of craftsmanship started at an early age and was inspired by her Sicilian grandmother, a woman of impeccable taste and outstanding talent.
That fascination with artistry and beauty motivated her future studies.
At 23, after graduating from Istituto Marangoni and working in Milan as a fashion designer, she moved to London to train as a pattern cutter.
As part of her apprenticeship she took courses with Martin Shoben in addition to assisting senior pattern cutters.
From there, she became the sole creative pattern cutter at several fashion houses, including Elspeth Gibson, Mike Shen and Emily and Fin.
Combining her flair as a designer with the technical knowledge in pattern cutting, Simona's large portfolio includes high fashion, theatre, made to measure, bridal and pret-a-porter.
Her clothes are a fine balance between creativity and precision and are inspired by timeless elegance.
She advocates slow and sustainable fashion by creating garments that will stand the test of time, both in terms of longevity and style. She ensures that the material used is easy to recycle and the packaging is biodegradable.
